Most of my work is backend systems where almost-right isn't good enough — billing ledgers, migrations, data integrity. I came to it from the hardware side: drones, PID controllers, boards I soldered myself. The two halves teach each other more than I expected.

This isn't a side quest. Working on hardware is where I learned that systems fail in the field and not in the test suite — which is most of why I write backend code the way I do.

Mission:A surveillance drone for university security monitoring, designed and flown end to end.
Built:Custom assembly, flight controller programming, real-time video transmission.
Outcome:Autonomous flight with a live feed back to the ground station.
